WHAT IS LIPODISSOLVE?

Lipodissolve is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction, and even better!  It is substantially less expensive, and less invasive.  No general anesthetic allows a shorter recovery period.  It is less traumatic with little bruising and pain, no scars or stitches, rarely with adverse reactions, and does not require girdles or special clothing post-treatment.  The end result is a more contoured shape with smoother skin, and may eliminate cellulite, unlike liposuction.  In fact, Lipodissolve is used to improve cosmetic irregularities that can occur after liposuction, even improving the dimpling skin of cellulite.

Lipodissolve is a highly effective, short office procedure allowing me to specifically target your localized fat deposits.   A series of treatments are performed, involving multiple injections of the fat-dissolving substances, over the specified stubborn bulging areas, allowing slow dissolving of the fat deposits.  The body naturally eliminates the residue after a Lipodissolve treatment over the following few weeks.  It is especially effective for the treatment of problem areas that may not be eliminated with diet and exercise alone.

WHAT IS THIS AMAZING FAT-DISSOLVING SUBSTANCE?

The main ingredient in Lipodissolve is phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine is a natural substance found in our bodies. Its main role in the body is to help emulsify and breakdown fat and cholesterol, and it is a key constituent of our cell membranes and high density lipoproteins (the good cholesterol). The phosphatidylcholine that is used is derived from soybeans and has the same molecular structure as the phosphatidylcholine found naturally occurring in our bodies.

Phosphatidylcholine is commonly used by many physicians worldwide in the treatment of fatty plaques in the arteries, by injecting the substance into the bloodstream.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

When injected directly into fat deposits, phosphatidylcholine helps breakdown and emulsify the fat deposits. Permanent reduction of fatty deposits occurs slowly over time, using the body’s own natural methodsof excreting fat.

Phosphatidylcholine has two magnet-like ends; one is attracted to water, and the other end is attracted to fat. These properties are why phosphatidylcholine is found in the digestive juices (bile) from the gallbladder, due to its ability to break down fats that we consume.  Upon injection into the fat under the skin, phosphatidylcholine surrounds the fat cell, and because of these opposing properties is able to emulsify the fat cell & solubilize it in the circulation, whereby it is then removed permanentlyby the liver, bowels and kidneys.  Functionally, you are then naturally & obliviously getting rid of it through your sweat, urine & stool.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MESOTHERAPY & LIPODISSOLVE?

Lipodissolve is an innovative application of mesotherapy allowing specific targeting of localized fat deposits.   A series of treatments are performed, involving multiple injections of the fat-dissolving substances, into the specified stubborn bulging areas of fat, allowing slow dissolving of the fat deposits.  The body naturally eliminates the residue after a Lipodissolve treatment over the following few weeks.  It is especially effective for the treatment of problem areas that may not be eliminated with diet and exercise alone.

Mesotherapy is the practice of using microinjections of conventional or homeopathic medication and/or vitamins into the "mesoderm," or middle layer of skin, to deliver healing or corrective treatment to a specific area of the body. Dr. Michel Pistor pioneered & practiced the technique in France in 1952, and the pioneering torch was passed to Dr. Jacques LeCoz.

Mesotherapy was given formal recognition in 1987 by the French Academy of Medicine and it is taught in French medical schools. France currently has more than 15,000 physicians practicing mesotherapy. The procedure has spread throughout Europe and South America, and even North America.  Mesotherapy has been used for cosmetic purposes, such as reducing cellulite and for facial rejuvenation.  While each mesotherapy treatment may involve hundreds of small injections, the treatment sessions typically takes only a short time to complete.

IS THERE PAIN or SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED?

Such fine needles are used in the procedure that any pain is minor and short lived.  Commonly, patients experience temporary itching, soreness, swelling, and bruising of the treatment area that lasts around one week on average. You can go straight back to work immediately after treatment, but this will depend on the amount of soreness you have, the area you have treated, and the type of work you do.  Going back to work the next day is the most common scenario.

The swelling proves beneficial as this allows the skin to retract or tighten over the following few weeks thereafter, during the fat melting phase, unlike after liposuction.

I will be providing you with appropriate supplementation to facilitate and promote healing of your tissues, for an optimal appearance in minimal time.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR THIS?

Lipodissolve is for you, as a man or woman, age 18 -75, if you have stubborn, bulging areas of fat that you wish to melt away into a sleeker physique, and find these areas are resistant to dietary changes and/or exercise.  I will evaluate your overall health, medical history, and discuss our treatment plan.  My goal is to facilitate you to achieve a more sculpted body, which is more visible than what weight is registering on the scale.
Thus, it is not used primarily for weight reduction, but rather for body contouring.

WHO IS NOT A CANDIDATE?

Patients who are pregnant or breast-feeding are not suitable for Lipodissolve treatments.
Patients with severe liver or kidney problems, severe active auto-immune diseases such as Lupus, or immunodeficiency such as AIDS, are not candidates for Lipodissolve treatments.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SKIN OVER THE FAT LOST?

Unlike liposuction, the swelling after Lipodissolve proves beneficial as this allows the skin to retract or tighten over the treated area, in the following few weeks as the fat dissolves, so that there is no sagging or looseness of skin. Even the cellulite surrounding the treated area is improved in appearance, whereas liposuction can often worsen the appearance of cellulite by destroying the circulation to that area.

CAN LIPODISSOLVE CAUSE UNEVEN FAT LOSS?

This has not been seen in proper procedures, which is why I was taught by the pioneers of Lipodissolve & Mesotherapy, Dr. Patricia Rittes & Dr. Jacques LeCoz, which has proved invaluable, as it has emphasized a distinct technique to administer the therapies.  I will constantly evaluate the treatment area, so that I can provide you with the best possible outcome for your genetics.

ARE THE RESULTS PERMANENT?

Results have been shown to be consistent, and since your body is more evenly sculpted, any new weight gain tends to be more evenly distributed, as the area treated does not tend to increase in size as quickly had the treatment not been performed.  This achieves a better balance in body shape as usually only disproportionate areas area treated.

This is not to say that new fat will not accumulate in the same areas, so it is advisable to incorporate a healthy exercise regime, and I will be individualizing your dietary requirements to facilitate you to maintain and enhance that newly sculpted physique for long term results.  Phosphatidylcholine injections are not a substitute for diet and exercise or a sole fat loss solution for highly obese persons.

WHEN DO YOU SEE RESULTS?

Generally, this depends on the individual. Results are usually expected by the fourth treatment, and continued improvement occurs with further treatments if necessary.

The fat cells are permanently removed from the area treated. Ongoing treatment is not required once you have achieved your goal, assuming no further weight is gained.

Because we are born with a limited number of fat cells, that do not replicated beyond a certain age, the results may be permanent after the fat cells are dissolved.

There are long term studies that show the results from Lipodissolve treatments have remained 7 years after the treatment was performed.

Treatments for cellulite and excess fat may require occasional maintenance visits.

IS LIPODISSOLVE SAFE?

Lipodissolve is a safe and effective method of fat reduction. Unlike liposuction and surgery, it is not associated with the risks of general anesthesia or sedation, and the other complications of surgery.

Lipodissolve has been safely performed on thousands of patients, with no reports of adverse complications or long term effects.   Rarely, as with all other procedures, a patient may have an adverse allergic reaction to one the medications used.

Lipodissolve contains a consistent mixture of fat-dissolving agents, and has proven to be a safe and effective therapy, when it is under the supervision of a licensed naturopathic physician, who has been certified in the specialized Lipodissolve procedure, such as myself.
MESOTHERAPY:  SALVATION from CELLULITE & AGING SKIN

WHAT IS IT?

WHAT DOES IT TREAT?

Cosmetically, Mesotherapy can treat Cellulite and is also used for Facial Rejuvenation.  From an anti-aging perspective, it is amazing to be able to rejuvenate skin tissue, through stimulating collagen synthesis, which keeps the skin young looking, due to its elasticity.  Through mesotherapy, the skin can also be rehydrated, allowing for a certain glow, that plump, youthful skin emanates.

CELLULITE: WHAT IS CELLULITE?

Cellulite or Dermatomyoliposclerosis (DMLS) is characterized by lumpy, dimpled skin, commonly on the upper thighs and buttocks.  Cellulite is the nightmare filled with shame and embarrassment for women worldwide, affecting confidence and well-being.  More than 90 percent of post-pubescent women are affected by cellulite, due to estrogen levels, irrespective of weight or age.  Mesotherapy is the most effective and long lasting treatment for cellulite available, whereas Liposuction can make cellulite worse.  Fortunately, Mesotherapy has been a safe and successful cellulite treatment in many European and South American countries for years.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

Cellulite is the result of weak connective tissue bands that hold down areas of the skin, trapping the fat, while other areas bulge outwards to create the undesirable “cottage-cheese” appearance.

There are numerous causes of cellulite, including poor circulation, defective connective tissue, enlarged fat cells and poor diet and nutrition habits.  The process spans four stages, slowly progressing over a years.  Initially fat cells clump together, reducing blood circulation, which feeds the tissue.  These defective connective tissue bands tighten under bulging fat cells, and structurally harden.  As a result, cellular water is retained, lymphatic flow restricted, and fat cells expand and stretch.

HOW DOES MESOTHERAPY TREAT CELLULITE?

Mesotherapy injections generally are an individualized combination of various vitamins, minerals, enzymes, plant extracts, anesthetics, medications and amino acids. The ingredients in the solution depend on your individual treatment needs and the desired effect you want to achieve.

The mesotherapy solutions specifically treat the causes of cellulite. First, circulation of blood to the skin is increased. Next, the dysfunctional and broken connective tissue is cleared. Finally the enlarging fat cells are reduced by delivering specific medication to fat cell receptors that block the fat's entry. At the same time, the receptor that stimulates the fat's exit from the cell is turned on.

Ultimately, with various mesotherapy solutions I can improve cellulite by dissolving excess fat, improving blood flow to the area, removing fibrotic, hardened connective tissue, and improving lymphatic drainage.

The result is much smoother (and smaller) legs, thighs and derriere, because of a reduction of the “orange peel” appearance and loss of fat in the treated areas.

Any area of the body can be treated with this technique with dependable results. Because cellulite is a permanent condition it requires more treatments than fat reduction by itself, usually 10 to 15 treatments or more if the condition is severe.
